What is a typical student at A.B.I.?

The 2006-2007 Student Body gathers on the front steps for a formal portrait.

None of our students are alike, but this will give you a profile of the average student in our school:

  1. Most are young men between the ages of 20-28.
  2. Most are single and live at home with their parents. Some are the primary breadwinners of the family.
  3. Most have a high school diploma, though many have finished only 8th grade.
  4. All are sent by local churches and continue serving in some form of leadership in those churches while in school. They are expected to continue ministry in that church after graduation from A.B.I.
  5. Students come from a variety of backgrounds: city, village, north, south, Muslim, Catholic and Orthodox.
  6. All students are actively involved in their local churches, carrying out a variety of responsibilities. Currently, our students serve in the following capacities:
    1. Pastor
    2. Associate pastor
    3. Mission pastor/church planter
    4. Leader of children's program
    5. Teachers/preachers
    6. Leader of worship, music
    7. Teacher of English as a Second Language
