Facility
The building you see in this picture is the facility of Albanian Bible Institute in Durres, Albania. This two-story villa has been the home of our school for the last ten years. It has had the capacity to house up to 24 students during the time they are in school. Kitchen and dining facilities, as well as office space, occupy the second floor. Classroom space and the library have occupied the first floor.
Years ago money was donated through Greater Europe Mission for the addition of the third floor. We remain grateful for that gift! For a variety of reasons, this addition has not yet been added in the last decade, but the money has remained available for this project. Now it looks like that dream of a third floor is closer to becoming a reality. Our dream is that this summer we will be able to add a third floor, which will be comprised of rooms for a men's dormitory, bathroom, showers and two small apartments for married couples who want to attend ABI. An architect and engineer are currently working on plans for us to consider. The board of the school will meet on March 20 to consider these ideas and decide the direction they consider the best. Adding this space will give us the capacity for up to 30 students and free up some of the limited space on the other floors for a larger library, expanded kitchen space and more classrooms. All of this will expand our capacity to grow and better serve the students God sends us.
