Material needs update...

1. October 10, 2007 – STRATEGIC PROJECTS YET TO BE MET
   Albanian Bible Institute is still in need of a new video projector to help make lessons come alive visually for our students. The cost of these projectors has gone down in recent years. It is now possible to buy a good one in Albania for $800. A church or individual who would purchase a video projector for the school would be helping us in a very practical way. (IMB strategic project #6-AV equipment)
   
   
2. October 10, 2007 – God provided for janitorial supplies for our school. We have been blessed by the good people of Rolling Creek Baptist Church in Quitman, Mississippi who have helped us meet much of our goal for buying janitorial supplies for this year. Right now we are only $150 short of our goal for the year. When we live in close quarters with many people like we do at ABI, sicknesses spread more quickly. Keeping a clean environment keeps us from being as sick so we can live together and learn together. Cleanliness promotes a positive atmosphere of learning.
   
   
3. The food budget donations from last year well exceeded our expectations. However, we are now entering a new school year and the students are hungry! Feed them! Jefferson Christian Church in Jefferson, New Hampshire continues to support our food budget on a monthly basis. We are looking for others to join Jefferson Christian in assisting us in the purchase of food. This expense makes up about 6% of our annual budget. Your gifts to this project help us feed our students three meals a day while they are in school. The rising price of food in 2007 has been one of the great surprises and strains on our annual budget.

In addition to these material needs, you can sponsor students and assist with scholarships. It costs us approximately $3700 per year to educate one student.

Students are required to pay tuition of $700 per year. Several of them have little or no means to pay that amount. Therefore a scholarship fund has been set up to assist them with what they cannot afford to pay. Scholarships are awarded when all their resources and initiative are exhausted. Scholarships run anywhere from $100 to $700, through rarely do we pay the whole amount.

Scholarships are investments in the training of our students. The dividends come as they gain the confidence and competence from their training to serve effectively in local churches. As the years pass by, they will plant new churches and lead existing churches to numerical and spiritual growth. We believe we will one day see our graduates go on to serve the Lord on foreign mission fields where westerners cannot go. Untrained leaders are not as likely to have the skills needed to bring their churches up to this level of growth.
