Welcome Kent Morton!

Kent Morton, his wife, Angie, their older daughter Emily, younger daughter Grace, and son Ethan.

The Lord brought my wife, Angie and I together at Taylor University Fort Wayne, where we both have BA degrees in Cross Cultural Ministry and had opportunities to travel abroad on short term mission trips and be involved in a number of different ministries. We were married in 2000 and have three wonderful children, Emily (7), Grace (5), and Ethan (3).

In 2006, Angie and I were praying about our involvement in missions and whether God would use us in this capacity. After much prayer and seeking council from others, we decided we would begin taking initial steps towards serving internationally and see what door God would open up for us. It was suggested to us that we pray about helping out at ABI. In 2007, God allowed me to travel to Albania to get a firsthand look at the ministry and to discuss ways that I could fit into this ministry. God continued to open up doors and confirmed our calling to serve here at ABI.

I have a background in university recruitment and admissions, and enjoy working with students in a school setting. I find it particularly thrilling to see students find their passions and utilize those passions for kingdom building purposes. I have an interest for ministering in a contextually relevant way that touches hearts and draws people closer to Christ. Having spent about seven years ministering to internationals in Fort Wayne, Indiana, I enjoyed leading some Bible studies for people from many different backgrounds and nationalities. I have also enjoyed my time as a Sunday school teacher at our home church in the United States.

I am currently learning Albanian full-time in preparation for my role at the school. I am looking forward to being fully involved at the school and working with the students. I will be splitting my time between teaching and helping with the administration.
