How can you give to support the needs in Albania?

Albanian Bible Institute is a cooperative mission endeavor of several Great Commission groups who are burdened for the need of trained national leaders. Our school is a total faith venture as no denomination or mission agency guarantees its financial support.

Currently, as we look forward to expansion, we have needs for the following material items for the 2007-08 school year.

  • Video projector for enhancing teaching — Cost $1350
  • Overhead projector — Cost $575
  • Two new computers and a printer so students can do research and type their own papers — $3000 PRAISE! GOD FILLED THIS NEED THROUGH AN ANONYMOUS DONOR!
  • New books for the school — Cost $500
  • New beds and bedding for our dormitories — Cost $5140
  • Food for feeding our students for one year while they are in school — $3000
  • Janitorial supplies for one year — Cost $470

In addition to these material needs, you can sponsor students and assist with scholarships. It costs us approximately $3700 per year to educate one student. We are looking for churches, Sunday School classes, mission groups and individuals to sponsor a student for one year.

A Miracle:
The Albanian Cow

What does a cow have to do with a theological school? Full story here...
Students are required to pay tuition of $700 per year. Several of them have little or no means to pay that amount. Therefore a scholarship fund has been set up to assist them with what they cannot afford to pay. Scholarships are awarded when all their resources and initiative are exhausted. Scholarships run anywhere from $100 to $700, through rarely do we pay the whole amount.

Scholarships and student sponsorship are investments in the training of our students. The dividends come as they gain the confidence and competence from their training to serve effectively in local churches. As the years pass by, they will plant new churches and lead existing churches to numerical and spiritual growth. We believe we will one day see our graduates go on to serve the Lord on foreign mission fields where westerners cannot go. Untrained leaders are not as likely to have the skills needed to bring their churches up to this level of growth.

All of these needs are on the approved strategic projects list at the International Mission Board in Richmond. Your gifts will be designated to the specific need you want to meet and not go to other projects. Gifts can be sent to the IMB, c/o Central and Eastern Europe Office, P.O. Box 6767, Richmond, VA 23230.
