What can you do in Albania?

Serve on a church planting probe team! Every summer a new location is targeted for the formation of a church. Volunteers could be useful in a variety of ways:

  • Chronological Bible storying
  • Backyard Bible clubs
  • Personal evangelism
  • Medical clinics
  • Sports clinics (especially soccer)
  • Showing the Jesus film
  • Door to door visitation
  • Music/drama
  • Prayer ministry
  • Doing Bible studies for teens or adults

Support Albanian churches in need of a boost! Many of our churches still need help in skill development. If you can teach people to sing, play guitar, lead small group bible studies and witness, you could prove to be an asset to our churches who still struggle to know how to do ministry with competence and confidence. Some of these churches need a boost from a medical team or evangelism team to reach new people and improve their image and receptivity in the community. Most churches in Albania do not have their own building to give themselves visibility in the community. Special events and humanitarian outreaches help the community know a church exists and cares about them.

Support the ministry of Albanian Bible Institute! A.B.I. exists to equip church leaders for life, ministry and world impact. IMB missionary, Lee Bradley, begins his ministry as director of the school on October 1, 2006. The school is in a transitional time of reorganization and expansion that will require the help of volunteers for the following needs:

  • Construction teams to come for 7-14 days to help with the addition of a third floor to give us extra classroom space and an auditorium.
  • ABP teams (Able-bodied-person teams) to help set up new bunk beds in the dorms, move furniture, and set up our new library in its new hall. Some painting and decorating may also need to be done. These teams would need to come for 5-10 days.
  • Teachers with expertise in certain fields will be needed in the 2007-08 school year to come and teach for week-long blocks of time. When teachers come we give them many opportunities to spend individual time with our students. We also seek out opportunities for teachers to preach or teach in local churches while they are with us.
