Coming in January... Lay Church Planters School

Your prayer support is needed! Our school is going to be doing something new in January for which I am very excited. We are going to be adding a new ministry called the Lay Church Planters School. Just like it says in the name, we will be training lay people in how to start churches for this new decade. Much has been accomplished for the gospel in Albania over the last 18 years since the fall of communism. Yet, many villages and quite a few cities in Albania remain without Evangelical churches. The gospel is not preached in these places. In the major cities we have many residents, but too few churches to reach them. The answer is more church planting.
The number of trained pastors available to do this work is very limited in Albania. It is a fact that one does not need to be ordained or have a seminary diploma to start a church. However, some degree of training and grounding is necessary to give ordinary church people simple tools necessary to start new churches. This is our aim.
I am writing today to ask for you to pray for our new endeavors to train people for church planting. Would you please pray for the following needs?
- Pray for new students. Pray that there will be Albanian believers who will be willing to sacrifice themselves for one year of training for two weekends a month.
- Pray for anointed teaching that is both practical and biblical. Pray for those who will be teaching the courses to be used of God for fruitfulness in the lives of our students.
- Pray that the Lay Church Planters School will bear fruit for generations, as trained leaders go out and plant churches that go out and plant other churches.
I am trying to personally enlist at least 100 people to join me in prayer for this endeavor. I am partnering with a group of missionaries from South Korea in this training effort. So far, they have enlisted over 800 people to be prayer warriors for this effort. We want to enlist at least 1000 people to pray for this new school.
Would you commit to pray for this new school and the specific requests I mentioned? We are looking for people to pray at least once a week for this. Those who would be willing to pray daily are especially appreciated. If you would be willing to commit to this, would you write me a brief note to let me know you are committing to pray for this need? It would be great to count you among our army of prayer warriors.
