Meet JETA ALUSHANI
October 2008
Hi!
I am Jeta Alushani and I am first year student in the church planting-missions track at Albanian Bible Institute.
I first heard the gospel in 1995 and from that time on I was a participant in the children's meetings. I don't really remember exactly the day and month I became a believer, but I know that somewhere in 1995 or 96 I accepted the Lord Jesus in my life. This was a result of the work of two missionaries who worked in our neighborhood, evangelizing and serving us. I really liked the Bible stories they had and the way they explained them. I especially liked the games and songs we had which helped me understand my need for Jesus to be my savior. The Lord worked in my heart to help me understand this.
As I grew older, I began serving as a teacher in the children's meetings and then began going out on the evangelism projects. Today I direct the teenagers meetings and lead children's meetings on Sundays at my church in Tirana.
Coming to ABI is an opportunity to be equipped better with the word of God. I can learn more deeply about my faith and the Bible. I want to learn how to use this knowledge better to spread the gospel to others who have not yet heard about Jesus. I have a special burden in my heart for ministry to children, but I do not know exactly at this time where the Lord will have me serve after I finish ABI in two years. I am open to do whatever he wants me to do.
Student Testimony
May 31, 2010
The two years I have been at ABI have been a special time in my life. I have learned and reflected more on God's word. I am more equipped from an academic and practical standpoint for serving the Lord. At ABI I was taught how to speak before people, something I had trouble doing before. I also learned how to deal with people who were from different backgrounds to mine and learned how to start new relationships with them so that we could live in harmony with one another.
It is good to come to ABI because of the environment and the relationships with the students, teachers and staff which are very friendly and family-like. People who come here will grow in their knowledge of the Lord's word and will grow spiritually. They will be equipped for service, fellowship and family life.
