Meet VISAR KAHRIMANI
October 2008
Hi!
I am Visar Kahramani from Mitrovica in the Republic of Kosova. I am in my first year at Albanian Bible Institute, studying in the church planting-missions program. I have been a believer for three years now. This is a result of reading the Bible with a foreign missionary who was teaching me English. While I was in the English class I was attracted to the Bible and had a great desire to understand it. I began to soon see that the Bible was true and really was the word of God. After reading it for about six months, I decided to accept Jesus Christ in my life.
In my church in Mitrovica where I am a member, I have served as leader of the prayer meetings that we have after the worship services. I have also been a translator for some of the foreigners who came to share in our church. I have read the Bible with another guy and I have helped him grow in his faith.
The missionaries in my church in Mitrovica told me about ABI and its ability to help me become better prepared to serve the Lord in different ways. I decided this would be a good place to learn and grow. I have not been disappointed. I have learned a lot, especially from the different ways our teachers use to explain the Bible to us. At ABI I have liked very much the worship, fun,(ping pong and football), the lessons and the good conditions that we have, especially the good relationships we have with one another.
Student Testimony
May 2010
During these two years that I have been in this school, I have been taught very well. ABI has been a blessing and helped me see many things beyond what I ever expected to see in my life. I have learned better the Albanian language and used it often in essays and assignments that I have had to do for the teachers. The school has helped me with my studies, lessons, exams and practical assignments. The courses that helped me the most have been Hermeneutics, Leading Small Group Bible studies, Homiletics, Discipleship, and Chronological Bible Lessons. I have also enjoyed the different missions courses we have had. All of these courses have changed my life and my thinking about myself and others around me. Because of these studies, I believe I can now serve in a church in different ways. This has been a big blessing.
I thank the Lord for ABI for the time I have had here at ABI. I have grown a lot in my faith and have learned to walk with the Lord every day in the reading of His word and meditation on it. I have learned to serve with humility. The school has given me joy and the true love of Christ. It has helped me become a more godly servant of Christ.
Some of the things I will not forget during my time at ABI are the Kairos course and the course on missions in Africa. I won't forget homiletics. The fellowship with other students, our pingpong games, and time with the staff, have been great. I want to thank the whole staff, especially our director, Lee Bradley, for all they have done.
More than this, I have seen many things here that have opened my eyes.
