Meet DHURATA POTERA

Hi!
 My name is Dhurata Potera and I am a new student at Albanian Bible Institute. I come from Podujeve, a small town in Kosova. Although the bus ride is quite long, over 8 hours, I still enjoy being here.
I have been a believer in the Lord Jesus for a little over two years now. A few years ago I was a student in an English course. The teachers were American Christians and they made quite an impression on me. The way they gave their lessons and the dedication they had toward us was very good. The course was free, but also very challenging. I wondered why they had such love toward us. Why were they so polite toward us?
While in the English course I had opportunities to read the New Testament and some other Christian literature. Some of these materials answered questions I had about Jesus, the Bible and about life in general. All of this created a desire in me to become a believer and I started to believe in Christ.
Since I became a Christian, I have been involved in the worship group at church and a teacher for the children's group. Sometimes I have been the translator for the pastor. I am a member of a church in Podujeve, a city in northern Kosova.
Coming to ABI was God's call for me. I have no doubt that ABI is going to be a great help in the preparation and development of our academic abilities. I believe it will help our abilities so we can be used in the way God wants us to be used. I am grateful to God for this school and the opportunity that I have to be a student here. ABI is exactly wnat I need. This is only the first semester and I am glad to say that this school works well, has order, discipline and great value. I am very happy to be at ABI, studying in the Bible-theology track.
